The graduate Australian medical school admissions test is an entry level test that students take and need to pass with a high score. It is an exam where students’ who are interested in the career fields of medical, dental, pharmacy and optometry take to receive their next degree. The gamsat test involves questions to be answered in areas of performance such as the following: reasoning in humanities and social sciences, written communication and reasoning in biological and physical sciences. Some of the gamsat preparation questions require students’ to obtain knowledge of reading and thinking about a passage of writing, interpret graphical displays of information, use mathematical relationships and apply reasoning skills to tables of data. The skillful questions on the assessment, include approximately 40% of chemistry, 40% of biology and 20% of physics on the test.

There are practice questions on the test that are not scored. Individual people may bring a calculator for one part of the test. Students’ who are preparing to take the gamsat exam could pace themselves on sample test questions because the real test is timed. Everyone is scored only for correct answers, while wrong answers are not counted against test takers. The gamsat is a multiple choice test and is offered only one time a year.

A major point of the Australian medical school admissions test is that it is important to be an above average problem solver. Before being able to take the gamsat test, students’ will have to register, show identification and give their admission ticket to the test provider. Test takers will have to remind themselves that the test has to be completed in two and a half hours. Additional details of the gamsat are that, there are 187 questions to be answered in 330 minutes. Any gamsat practice test can be ordered for a cost to help improve a test score. The penalty for cheating is that the test will be cancelled and not refunded. Students’ may retake gamsat as many times as they would like to increase their score to be eligible for entering the program at the graduate Australian medical school.
